By knowing that smiling takes years off your face, it's the best ice breaker in a social gathering and nicest escape from awkward situations. Smiling makes your day and everyone around you. Knowing that smiling, even in the toughest of situations, is how you can take control of your life. Knowing that such a powerful tool is at your disposal for free, how can you not smie : )

Sometimes it happens when I don't even want it to! Out of nowhere, in my head will pop this past memory of something hysterically funny and I will just laugh and laugh - usually inappropriately for the setting I'm in.
But if I am actually trying to make myself smile...then I usually think of one of the cute, sweet children in my family. That does it everytime!

Look at yourself in a mirror and stick out your tongue, if that doesn't work then talk to some one who will lift your spirits and make you smile.

hugging my QT, watching her smile, and when I get super bummed, I throw a leg over my motorcycle and ride until I start smiling. Sometimes it takes several hundred miles, but it always works.
