I read somewhere (about a gazillion years ago! LOL!) that a good way to rid a microwave of spatteres/burnt on food, is to put a small glass dish of household ammonia in it for x-amount of seconds/minutes.
Has anyone tried this? If so, for how long did you heat it?

I see the commercials for 'microwave cleaners', but I have a tendency to avoid over-priced crap that is usually a rip-off. (Like most 'cleaning agents' are...!
Ammonia is usually the main ingredient in all cleaners! Why pay more for a fragrance, when you can get that from a $0.99 candle?!)
Anywhooo...has anyone used this method for cleaning a microwave? How did it work?!

In the bag about half of the pieces had "W" written on them instead of "M" and I'm worried that there may have been some sort of manufacturing error that day. Do you think it would be safe to eat them or should I just throw them away?

Just read about in in the , Old Farmers Almanac,, August 17, is official, Cat nights day!It's a time when cats tend to get, yowly, according to Mark Twain, An old Irish legend claims, that witches could turn themselves into cats, and then bac into humans eight times, the ninth time, around Aug. 17th., they couldn't regain their human form, hence the yowly noises!.... tonight's the night, listen up for the cats, yowly, scretching noises, I'm keeping a close eye, on my own cat!.........:)
