Do you think the 1976 version is not good unlike the origanal?

The 1933 version, as the original, is a classic and will always be the best. The 1976 version is a waste of time. The newest version (the Peter Jackson film) is really good.

I've seen them all and like them for different reasons.
1933 is revolutionary and the original. It is what the 2005 movie based its entire storyline on.
1976 is cheesy, silly, and funny. You cannot take the movie seriously. I love those kind of movies on a rainy day.
2005 is great because it is the best. Peter Jackson did his homework as always and down the road he will be revered as much as Spielberg or Scorcesse

1976 version sucks. Big-*** ape is stomping around looking for her and all the dumb broad can think about it going to a bar. All the NYC cops are waiting on the Queensboro bridge while Kong wades across the East River, which BTW is TOO DEEP! All those jackasses are standing directly under the WTC watching while they're trying to shoot down the ape...DIRECTLY UNDER THE WTC...AND SOMETHING IS GOING TO FALL ON THEM... And that reaction shot where Kong hides in a corner of a building from the search choppers...WTF?

I only liked it because I saw it as a kid but the original was more emotional, kinda like the newest version (which was AWESOME).
Still love Jessica Lange and Jeff Bridges (?) though.

the 76 version is attrocious
the 33 version is a classic piece of cinema ~ i just wish they hadnt lost some of the cut footage so we could have a fully restored version of it

Its hard for a movie about a giant rampaging ape to completely suck in my world, but while enjoyable doesnt carry anywhere near the same weight as the original.

no not even close. the first one was way better. but the new one (2005) King Kong is the best out of all three of them
