Just read about in in the , Old Farmers Almanac,, August 17, is official, Cat nights day!It's a time when cats tend to get, yowly, according to Mark Twain, An old Irish legend claims, that witches could turn themselves into cats, and then bac into humans eight times, the ninth time, around Aug. 17th., they couldn't regain their human form, hence the yowly noises!.... tonight's the night, listen up for the cats, yowly, scretching noises, I'm keeping a close eye, on my own cat!.........:)

i've heard of three dog night, but not cat nights. maybe my sister won't regain her human form tonight.

Well, actually, I have hear the term "out catting around" used to describe a person in the "club scene". It is an old saying though.

I have never heard of that but it's interesting. Cats do tend to make some funny noises -- at least mine does.

What a great question ! And there will be rapidly, a sparkling practice on Animal Planet noted as Animal Hoarding will capture the lives of human beings who hoard animals for convenience and on the sneak peek I mentioned some women who hoard dogs, and those women regarded loopy to me !

Funny - I just read the same thing, but I do just believe that this is when many cats just go into heat. It can sound very miserable.
I am sure your cat is safe.
