Right now i am 11 years old going on 12.My school is going to be 8 miles away.everybody already already has a cell phone at this age.I get mostly a's in school. Should i be old enough to get one?

If i get an audiobook from the library, can I copy it onto my computer so I can listen to it on my ipod? I would only really listen to it once anyway, but should I delete it afterwards? How legal is this?
