I was at the dentist yesterday and the radio was on an oldies station. A song came on with some lyrics about a girl walking down the street and smiling at the people she sees or something like that. It sounded like the Beatles but I dunno.

I heard this song on the radio 2 days ago and I forgot most the lyrics. The song has a very flowing tune and is sung by a black singer. I do remember some lyrics are like "and then the raindrops came", or something along the lines of that. It is very popular probably one of the hits from the 80s or 90s. The singer sounds like the voice of marvin gaye, lionel richie, and the like, but it does not seem to be one of their songs. Can someone help?

For the life of me I can not figure this song out. It sounds like Steve Miller, but I'm pretty sure it's not... The lyrics are something like this:

"Her eyes got the limit/her eyes got the time/I'll be along in my own sweet time"
