It's about the immigration debate currently raging in this country. Jack points out the hypocrisy of the anti-immigrant crowd who, in all likelihood, descended from immigrants themselves. This excerpt from the song sums it up pretty nicely:
"White Americans, what? / Nothing better to do? / Why don't you kick yourself out? / You're an immigrant too!"

i like the song, ive only hear part of it on TRL tho... all i know is that the singer is married to the drummer. that has got to be a statement in itself.
