It's a natural human function to dispell excess gasous air however, many times people know when it's coming and can excuse themselves to another more appropriate place.
What I dislike is when my students do it in class while I am trying to teach - and then all of a sudden the smell begins to permeate the air and everyone jumps up from their desks, knocking over chairs and tables and making all kinds of noice - literally disrupting the class. It takes at least 10 minutes to get the culprit to confess and air out the room......lol

Nothing is wrong with accepting that everyone farts. Most guys appreciate it when you are cool with them farting. Unfortunately with that comfort level they will do it often and maybe ask you to pull their finger. I know this well because my husband does it to me all the time.
