It was an old black and white movie where a reporter (I think) stays for one night and the mansion keeper shows him how people were murdered through visions, until he shows him it's time for the reporter to die. (Every year at the same date the murders occur).

Before I go out to buy a new HD-DVD player specifically the (Toshiba HD-A30) to accompany my new Sony Bravia KDL-46W3000 LCD TV I was wondering if Blockbuster or Moviegallery even has HD/Blu-Ray Movies available for rent?

I do know that Blockbuster announced that it was only going to support Blu-Ray but I failed to notice if they even had any available for rent as I just upgraded to all this new Technology.

I dont buy movies at all as it is in my opinion a waste of money, so if I cant even rent HD movies then there is no use for me to buy one and instead I could go ahead and get a DVD player that upconverts regular DVDs to 1080p correct?

Thanks for your answers.

I've asked this before, months ago; didn't get a good answer for it, so I thought I'd try it again. As many old-school martial arts movie fans know, the background music for these films, is a lot of times, sampled from popular U.S. films; I've heard familiar themes in these chop socky flicks, from stateside films, like "Rocky", "Carrie", "Superman", and several others...

In Jackie Chan's 1978 action/comedy "Snake in the Eagle's Shadow", 1 of the familiar themes in the film, is from Mel Brook's film, "Silent Movie"; however, in another part of the film, where Jackie's character goes out in an empty courtyard, and finds chalk-mark footsteps, laid out in sequence, by an old martial arts master, trying to teach Jackie his style of kung fu, the background music, showing Jackie working out the footsteps, is definitely a familair piece of music by the synthesizer progressive rock band, Tangerine Dream...

...would anyone be able to tell me what the name of that piece of music is???

A few years ago, there was a movie that came out about a girl who's a college student or something, and she's working on this project / theory that men are biologically programmed to be unfaithful to their spouses, since only a small percentage of mammals are monogamous. She's been cheated on before, so she believes that men actually can't help themselves, or something like that. (NOT something that I believe!!) I remember a tagline from the TV commercials: A guy asks her, "Why is it so important to you to prove this theory of yours?!" And she says, "Because if I'm wrong, then that means that all men don't leave all women- they leave ME!" Does anyone know what movie I'm describing? I can't remember the name or who's in it or what year it came out. Help me please!

We were talking today about really horrible movies that we had seen. This was a horror flick, and it was about a bunch of teenagers who were on a trip, and I remember they went to see some crater. They were in an old yellow car if I remember correctly. They get back in their car and discover it won't start. A lot of other stuff happens, but there are some people who are killers, and they mess with peoples cars. There is a field of abandoned cars that the teenagers find, and a room, where they find IDs, cameras, cell phones, etc of the people who were killed. Does anyone have any clue what this movie is?

I remember watching a movie on TV about a swordfighting masked guy that I really enjoyed so now I seaarch it and found out it probably was a Zorro film. I just dont know which one and I want to watch it again. I barely remember some details like a cliff, a swordfight, 3 men stopping him, a poison test, a secret base, being half-dead, and a really pretty woman. o_O I know Im not really being helpful since mostly ALL of the movies have this but any movie fanatics that can help me out? Maybe its not even Zorro but some other masked hero.... XP

theres a movie, and im not sure who is in it, but it has something to do with a birthday and a jacket. this denim jacket was given to this girl by a "witch" or voodoo lady or something.

the jacket then makes the girls wishes come true.

any information would be helpful. thank you in advance

ok I've asked this question before, but let me rephrase:

movie: Amelie
rating: R
question: where are the racy parts, can i fastforward through them, and is the movie ok for 15 and up?

disclaimer: I do not want to know what the racy parts are, just where to fastforward, ex: (fastforward over the first fifteen minutes)

why: I may be watching this movie with an adult and I don't want to be surprised into an embarassing moment by a very racy situation halfway through.

Dont know anything about it except one scene : 2 characters fighting on some womans balcony - one kind of resembled superman the other looked like that old alien with the huge veiny head, goggles for eyes and claws. Then again, this could've just been a bad dream.

sorry, that's most probably the worst question. .

for quite a while now, been having dreams, strange dreams..

i know it's all about the same thing, and i'm pretty sure it's about a film of some sort, it may be out already, and an extremely old film. . or just perhaps, not yet out in cinema. it's not too old because the dreams i'm having are in colour.

to describe the story line. . there is a robotic creature, simular to the one in "hell boy" - the creature wears thin dark blue/black tights, which cover his intire body. one his head is a whie mask, the expressions the mask give depends on the time, and light around him. the lighter the more sad/angry the mask gets.

on top of all that, is a very baggy robe, also either dark blue or black.

the robotic man, is ofcourse a baddie, a dark creature of the night, though nothing like a werewolf. he's trying to find his robotic looking sword..

the film opens up to a bright hallway, and a brunette is getting prepared to bungie -
