is renting a tv series the same as renting a movie or is there a different charge?

Usually each disc of the set will rent seperately. Thus, to rent the first Season of, say, 'Smallville' would cost about 4 bucks for 'each' disc (each disc contains 3 or 4 episodes of a show). So to rent the entire season would cost appx. 24 bucks. You can BUY the first season of Smallville for 17 bucks right now! So, depending on which season and which show, it may be cheaper to just buy instead of rent. :)
