The only 'equals' to Bill Murray are his colleges from back in the day before the day, like, Steve Martin, Dan Ankroyd, Chevy Chase, & the female-bill murray, the late Gilda Radner (whos husband Gene Wilder was also of the caliber of Bill Murray). They've all had many hits and many misses but they all have that ability to take something quiet boring and make us laugh uncontrollable with their American/Canadian blend of unique (yet oft-copied) humour. :) Yes, Bill IS a comic genuis and a member of some great peers. ;P great question/observation!

Bill Muray = funny guy....
but COMIC GENIUS??

Am I missing something?

Peter Cook was a comic genius,
Spike Milligan was comic genius
Bob Hope...
George Burns...
Graeme Garden...
Barry Cryer...

Is Bill Murray in this league?

Yes i believe so... Billy Connolly.... the man is a natural genius at making people laugh so much they cant breath. If you ever have the opportunity to see him live.. DO IT.. you will miss 1/2 the show by laughing.

There's this guy I saw once named Frank Caliendo. He's hilarious! You can watch him on Prank TV! and he does these really good imitations of George Bush and Joel Madden. Good luck!
