I know so many people who love that movie. I don't get it. I think it's on-the-nose, overly-long, pretentious, completely un-sublte and dull. I don't think that director has ever made a good movie. Anyone else with me?

I know its a long shot but does anyone remember the movie "The Leftovers" ?? there is a movie ive been trying to find since i was little, and i remember that a girl runs away at night and everyone is out looking for her. And i think John Denver was her dad or something. I think it was this movie but i want to know if anyone knows for sure. Ringing any bells??

I love it when you're watching a group of people singing on tv or in a movie and they show the whole group (like in a church, or wherever) and you hear the whole group sing, but then they focus on just one person and you hear that one person's voice over everyone elses. They always do that and I find it so funny!
