I know its a long shot but does anyone remember the movie "The Leftovers" ?? there is a movie ive been trying to find since i was little, and i remember that a girl runs away at night and everyone is out looking for her. And i think John Denver was her dad or something. I think it was this movie but i want to know if anyone knows for sure. Ringing any bells??

It was a T.V. show/movie circa 1986. I think it had something to do with orphans.

LEFTOVERS, THE (1986)
A close-knit group of orphans and their father-figure, Max (John Denver), try to keep their home from being shut down. Helping them out are a single mom (Cindy Williams) and the elderly butler from Max's aunt's mansion, where Max grew up.
As a kid of the early 80's, my parents used to tape movies every Sunday for us on "The Wonderful World of Disney" (we were so excited to get a VCR!) The Leftovers was my absolute favorite! It is a great story about a bunch of sweet kids who adore Max, the Father in their orphanage. But, when they are threatened to lose their home the kids find lots of quirky ways to make sure that doesn't happen. I remember watching this movie hundreds of times as a kid and never getting sick of it. I would love to be able to find a copy of it somewhere now. If anyone sees this and knows where I could find one please email me, and consider getting a copy for yourself too. It is truly a wonderful movie for the whole family!
