When I lived in italy back in 84-92 i remember seeing this awsome anime with a submarine and a awsome and kinda dark story where the crew dies then comes back with a even better ship. Anybody know what i'm talking about or where could find out about it?

Since you don't allow e-mail, I have to respond to you this way. The truth is, I don't hate anime. In fact, I find most of it quite beautifully animated and well written. There is a huge difference between me, a cartoon geek, and you, an anime geek. CARTOON GEEKS HAVE A SENSE OF HUMOR ABOUT THEIR HOBBY! I find that a lot of anime geeks are lacking in this. I think Tex Avery has warped the brains of all of us cartoon geeks, we look at the world and ourselves in a very humorous and self-deprecating light. Unfortunately, a lot of anime geeks take Japanimation way too seriously. Some of you folks need to lighten up, learn how to take a joke and learn how to laugh at yourselves and your hobby.
Now, if you will excuse me...I have a portrait of Joe Barbera to lick...plus I'm in the middle of building that Barney Rubble shrine.

Keep in mind I'm saying a lot of you take it too seriously, not ALL of you anime geeks are like this, some of you, I have noticed, are pretty swell people.
