I always find it interesting that over-time, all celebrities are doomed to fail because people simply get 'tired' of seeing someone who is over-exposed.
We love the celebrity when they are in their prime, until one mistake is made, then suddenly that person gets flashed around different medias (magazines, ET, etc) that purposefully make fun of that person in a persuasive way. The actors/musicians/actresses you love now, will most certainly not be as well liked in 5 years because you'll either grow tired of them, find someone better to replace them, or they'll have made a mistake you find unforgivable.
I find everything about celebrity obsession to be rather one-sided and 'band-wagon-ish'. Examples being "Oh, ET said he's the hottest guy this year so I love him!' then a month later ET will say "He decided to not sign an autograph, what a jerk!' and you'll be like 'OMG he's a jerk, I'm not his fan anymore'.
All of it is so petty and sickening, but makes good entertainment
