I always find it interesting that over-time, all celebrities are doomed to fail because people simply get 'tired' of seeing someone who is over-exposed.
We love the celebrity when they are in their prime, until one mistake is made, then suddenly that person gets flashed around different medias (magazines, ET, etc) that purposefully make fun of that person in a persuasive way. The actors/musicians/actresses you love now, will most certainly not be as well liked in 5 years because you'll either grow tired of them, find someone better to replace them, or they'll have made a mistake you find unforgivable.
I find everything about celebrity obsession to be rather one-sided and 'band-wagon-ish'. Examples being "Oh, ET said he's the hottest guy this year so I love him!' then a month later ET will say "He decided to not sign an autograph, what a jerk!' and you'll be like 'OMG he's a jerk, I'm not his fan anymore'.
All of it is so petty and sickening, but makes good entertainment

YES. It's like watching a train wreck. They seem to have everything and some how they manage to fuckup everything. It's fantastic.
When I'm feeling down, I like to look at pictures of Brittany Spears while she was pregnant (Star Mag). She was like a blimp. My fav pic is one where she's disheveled and looks like she just threw up in a bush. Something about seeing that bimbo have a bad day just ices my cake.
Have fun!

I assume most people do. And that, purely as a perverse pleasure of the mob.
As a kid you see the beginning, middle, and ending of the popularity game.
David the King said: It is good that I was afflicted.
Nobody real takes pleasure in the suffering of others. That's not the same as wanting to see justice served. And then it's not a pleasure thing. It's righteousness.
Personally, the higher the stakes, the higher the penalties. So if you're high profile, to me, it's nothing to be envied, let alone desired. Many are probably very lonely people who smile beautifully.
Personally, I'm not adverse to my own company. It beats ' badly accompanied ' a thousand to one. Whatever I do, I want it to be real. If I feel badly or if I exult.
If I don't feel like being polite to someone because there are ' other considerations ' I won't. Maybe the slug needed the direct approach. Hope this answers your question. Have a nice day.

Yes, I do, and all u said is right. I don't know the celebs personally, and their websites are gonna be positive propaganda about them, so all I'm left with are the news magazines, and the reputable magazines. Jsssica Simpso and Nick Lachey always told us not be believe any of the magazines because they didn't. their impending divorce was all over people, and us, and OK....but it was also in the tabloids. I believed the first three magazines listed(they're trash might have some credibility...and it ain't always trash either). Then thought the newlyweds were right, it's just cuz they're so open to the public that they get scrutinized...well...sometimes in January, turns out they really DID split up...so I should've believed the magazines. then there's Britney Spears...blaming the media for things...but she's the one who almost dropped Sean(her baby), on some occasions, but her drink was unharmed....she's the one who neglected to take her child to the ER right away when the nanny said he fell out of a high chair, she's the one who drove a car w/her baby in the back seat with the top down. She's the one who took Preston out of his car seat, and as soon as her body guard got in the car, sped off. Ok, she's country...but then Y does she live in LA? Yeah, sure, ordinary people in LA might do these sort of things(except wait a week to take their baby to the hospital after the babysitter said he fell out of his high chair), but she's a celebrity. when she decided she wanted that life, she automatically gave up a lot of that freedom...or she should conform to a bit more civilized living. Kelly Clarkson's famous too, I don't hear anything negative about her. Avril Lavigne said she doesn't have a diary anymore, and her curtains are drawn, and their dark too. Celebs get paid A LOT of money for a demamanding job...but paparazzii comes with the territory, and they will make sure u behave urself. If she wants to live like a normal country mama, she should move back to Louisiana, she can't have it both ways, where she's adored as Britney Spears the entertainer, and as Britney Spears the mom-no matter what she does. In different parts of the country, norms and culture are different..her being a celeb especially, CAN'T mix the two and expect to be accepted and respected by the media and the people. Like the dateline thing. I heard she was dressed all trashy...tha's not how u should dress when ur gonna be on a natinally viewed program! And she wants respect for disrespecting herself...y? I don't even give ordinary people who dress and act like her respect, y should I give it to her? She's a role model wheather shes likes it or not, as a celeb, she's got a lot of questions to answer, and u'd think as a mom, she'd wanna be a better person too. I mean, Madonna shaped up her act and character when she had kids. I heard she won't even let her kids watch her videos of the past. Yes, she did some stupid things even as a mom, but she's kept them at a minimum, so she' won't have a lot of explaining to do to her children. As their mom, she's accountable for how they turn out...and if u want good kids..u should try ur damndest to lead by example and hope they turn out as u planned. That goes for everyone, not just celebs.

it isn't only celebrities. even as one sees a failure or someone happening in wellbeing / wealth / occupation or in any incorrect way, one feels relieved it changed into not him. This turns into collective in case of a star and feels like amusement. there is also this choose in guy to be on real of factors or to rule. The extra celebrities fail the extra ones rank rises with none attempt and that is variety of a fortunate damage.

I think it's sad when a celebrity makes some kind of mistake and all of a sudden the media is all over them. Like Britney Spears, for example, all that stuff that keeps happening with her and her son.... whether you like her or not, it sucks to have everyone in the US think you are a bad mother!

I don't know what everyone's obsession is with celebrities. You need to have more going on in your life if all you care about is who Paris Hilton or Jessica Simpson are dating. Join a club. Get a neopet. Something. Anything.

No.... I think is sad to see anyone fail. People fail everyday and it hurts them in a lot of ways. I don't find it entertaining to watch others pain and suffering. I would hope that people wouldn't find my failure entertaining.

It depedns on the celebrity. It is fun to read about their woes. It puts them on the same level as the rest of us out there.
