As a fan of Robert Palmer, I was disappointed at the little media coverage his death got, was anyone else too?

I was a fan of Robert Palmer, and was saddened by his untimely death. It just seems like in my area, the media said little about his death and had little coverage on it, other than the actual announcement. I wanted to know did anyone else feel as though he was not given the honor he deserved? Seems like that old race horse who had to be euthanized because of his hoof, received more media coverage and attention than Mr. Palmer did?
