Does anybody know what the movie studios do with the props they use in the movies or what they're made out of. Specifically, I am wondering about the two books used in the newer Mummy and The Mummy Returns movies and the newer Bram Stoker's Dracula done by Francis Ford Coppola. In the Dracula movie, there is a humungous book Anthony Hopkins character brings out that has the title Vampyre on it. The books seems real enough, yet I can't find out anything about it online. I know the books that were used in The Mummy movies weren't real. The gold book, for example, would be so heavy that nobody would be able to even lift it off the ground, since it was pure gold. It also seems you can't get a hold of any directors or anybody involved in the films, so there's no way to directly ask.
