I like music, and I need suggestions for new bands. These are a list of my favorite bands. If you think there are any bands I may like, please feel free to post them!
These are my fave bands (so you know what kind of music I like)- Self Against City, Cute is What We Aim For, The Spill Canvas, The Starting Line, Hellogoodbye, Boys Like Girls, My Passion, All Time Low, Cavalier, Mayday Parade, Say Anything, So They Say, etc.

My fiancee and I have been invited to go to Harpo's in Detroit, MI on Jan. 27th for a 20 band, all day, all night, all ages concert. I'm into rock, and like some disturbed, linkin park, ect. , but this stuff is blood and gore screamin goth, and isn't my scene at all. I have to go (compromise, ya know!) I don't know what to where or how to deal with this whole thing and come out of it having a good time, HELP!

It is set in the American War of Independence and is about the making of a film of a book by an academic historian. The story gets hijacked by the producer who turns the historical version on its head (introduces a love-plot, makes the yanks win etc) to the consternation of the writer of the book. In the making of the film, the cast rebell and act out the historically correct story. It must have been made at least 10 years ago, possibly as much as 20.

farmer happened by with his big old horse named Benny.

The man asked for help. The farmer said Benny could pull his car out. So he backed Benny up and hitched Benny to the man's car bumper.

Then he yelled, "Pull, Nellie, pull."
Benny didn't move.

Then he yelled, "Come on, pull Ranger."
Still, Benny didn't move.

Then he yelled really loud, "Now pull, Fred, pull hard."
Benny just stood.

Then the farmer nonchalantly said,
"Okay, Benny, pull."

Benny pulled the car out of the ditch.
The man was very appreciative but curious. He asked the farmer why he called his horse by the wrong name three times.

The farmer said, "Oh, Benny is blind, and if he thought he was the only one pulling he wouldn't even try."
