I do understand what you are saying and how you feel, looking at it from a man's point of view.
I would like to tell you how I feel about it from a women's point of view.
For twenty years my husband did the driving. When he passed a car I was very nervous. Other things he did made me nervous. Neither one of us really enjoyed the ride.
The problem was that I didn't have the experiece of knowing what the vehical was capable of. I was 42 years old and still I was an not an experienced driver.
One day I made him so nervous he stopped got out and told me to take the wheel. After a few times of my driving and becoming more experienced we both realized we were relaxed and enjoyed the drive.
Women need to drive enough to learn how to handle a car in different situations.

I haven't been with my boyfriend for too long yet. We've only driven together a couple times, and so far it's been his car and he's driven. I know for a fact that if I wanted to drive, he'd have no problem sitting in the passenger seat. So far he's been going out of my way to make me happy.

What you do is very offending to many women out there reading you questian. YOu should always let your wife drive (unless she's is really bad at it). NOt trying to be harsh, but you are being very sexest. Tell me, honestly, do you think that men are better than women? Studies even say that Women are typically more thoughtul and smarter thatn most men. That does not apply to all though. Hope you make the rite choice.

My husband drives a 4-wheel drive truck, so if we take the truck somewhere, he usually drives. He recently bought me a Mitsubishi Spyder convertible, so if we are going somewhere in the Spyder, I usually drive. It is a really fun car to drive, so every once in a while, if he is lucky, I will LET him drive it when we are going somewhere. However, he works as a certified mechanic and licensed smog tech and has had 2 back surgeries, so if he is tired or his back hurts, I have no problem driving the truck or the car (and he has no problem letting me).

I drive when I want to drive. I have a Ford Escape that has better mileage than his F-150, so when we run around, we drive my Escape. But when he wants to drive and we take his truck, he never lets me drive. How do you think that would look, a big guy in HIS truck with his fiancee driving? Not good! I drive when i want to in my car, but if i don't want to, then i let him drive or just say you can drive or ask him if he wants to. Nothing really to fight over, though sometimes we can. My man has a famous stubborn streak!

Maybe 1 out of 10 times! And only on short drives. Even though he gets tired driving far distances!

Just around town my wife drives most of the time simply because she knows pretty much every back road and shortcut in the city (she used to be a dispatcher for a locksmith company).
On road trips we pretty much split the driving 50/50.

ALLOWED?? I drive whenever I feel like it.
If I've had a long day of driving and am too tired, I'll ask my husband to drive my car. I'm the primary driver of the car, he's the primary driver of the truck. He doesn't have to give me persmission to drive. Geez.

Hmmm... with all do respect I think you're way out of line letting her sit in the passenger seat. She rides in the back in the car seat and our two yearold son sits up front with me.

We keep it simple in our house, we just have our own vehicles, that way he can wreck his all he wants and pay for higher insurance and I get to drive the kick-a** nice new vehicles and pay 1/4 of the amount he does for insurance.
So you can take that stupid chauvinistic question and shove it! Cause a real women relies on no man for her S**t, everything I have is all mine baby and I'm also the chief bread earner too....*sigh* I love feminism.....wheres my bra, I'm in the mood to burn it now! LOL
