Whatever happened to just simply advertising a product? Like hello...this is what we are selling, this is what our product does, please try it. Where did all this flashy, "in your face" advertising come from and why must people seem ignorant and clueless in TV adds???

I have been asked to start a new divinsion of an online direct marketing company. Although this is a high profile positions the base salary is way under what someone would normaly get at an exisitng company. Essentialy building the database up and re-marketing this data. I have been offered 10 percent net revenue of this division, but I have to cover all costs with this 10 percent. .

If this division does 5 million in revenue, the division gets $500K to cover Salaries/Commissions, Technology, Misc.

I feel this is not a great deal? Am I wrong here?

I had my blackberry in my pocket. I was sitting in my apartment with my gf & we were in the process of "getting down". I went to make a call about 1030PM & I noticed my bosses name in the call history. I checked the duration. It was 4 min. long. I either left him a vm with whatever I was saying or he picked up & heard everything. Right after this, I freaked & sent him an email apoligizing for the accidental call.
