I have an older set of frames, but I just got new updated prescription lenses put in a few months ago. The finish on the metal is starting to wear away, and sometimes the bottom of the frames touch my cheeks and leave green marks on them! *lol*

I really don't want to have to shell out for another set of frames. I also bought a new set of glasses at the time I got these lenses updated. I like the older pair better, so don't want to be committed to only the other new set.

I've asked a few eyeglass places and either they don't really have an answer whether it's possible to refinish them, or I've been told that it used to be done fairly commonly, but now they don't know anyone who does it any more. One more example of our disposable society, I guess! Or a way to force us to pay for new frames each time.

Anyway, I'm wondering if there's a way I can do it on my own so that the exposed metal no longer leaves marks on my cheeks.

I'm 18 and I already have one piercing that is compltly hidden (vch) and I'm considering getting my nipples pierced, but I still live with my grandmother & she completly disapproves piercings. She let me get 1 hole in each ear, I asked for a second one in my right ear & she said no, even though I'm 18. I know they wouldn't show if I wore a padded bra all the time, but that is seriously unrealistic. She would get real suspicious if I wore a bra with my night clothes (they are really revealing up top). Any suggestions? I heard about putting bandaids over them, but I thought (and sill believe) that is really bad for the healing process.

I'm looking for a good cologne to buy to help me out with the ladies -- I'm 14, and currently I have Story by Paul Smith. Is this good? I've heard Jake from Hollister is good, but that sounds too cliche and seems to me it's recommended by brainwashed Hollister girls. If it really does smell that great, I apologize. I also only use Axe as a deodorant, not cologne -- Axe smells lame, in my opinion. (I invested in some odorless underarm deodorant to bring out the cologne) Also, how many spritzes are appropriate, and where? A spray in front of me after drying off in the shower, wait for the scent to set into my skin, and then once after all of my clothes are on sounds logical to me. How do I color my hair into medium blonde without ending with brassy reddish tones?
I have med brown natural hair and it was highlighted and the highlights are now growing out. I've heard of this product at Sally's beauty supply that says "take the red out" or something like that. You're supposed to put 5 drops of it into your hair dye.....has anyone ever heard of this? Would this work if I add that to a blonde shade or should I just strip the color and dye it? I've heard if you are going to a lighter color like from brown to blonde then you need to strip the color out first then dye it. If I strip the color what product do I need to use? Can u recommend any or give me any tips?
I had thought maybe using the new feria hi- lift browns from loreal but I would really rather go to about a medium blonde
