ITS THE CONTRARY, I LOOKED 15 YEARS YOUNGER, IN USA SUPERMARKETS, THEY ASK ME MY I.D TO BUY WINE OR BEER WHEN I AM 34 , BECAUSE THEY SAY I SHOULD BE 21 YEARS OLD TO BUY ALCOHOL, NOW THEY LAUGH WHEN THEY SEE ME AT THE STORE...

Nope.. not true.. a child raised vegetarian will likely grow up looking young for their age, because they don't ingest all the hormones that are in the meat most children eat. If you could read up, you'd find that in the olden days, before animals were factory farmed and injected with so many hormones, girls commonly didn't get their period until 16 or thereabouts.. Now it's 10..9...8... it's the hormones.
I became veg when I was 10.. I've always looked very young for my age. I'm 27 but if I were to go back to teaching high school history (like I did for 4 years) I know I'd hear the same thing I always did from new students.. "Mrs. ___ when I first saw you, I thought you were a student.." In otherwords.. I could EASILY pass for a high school student.. People just now are FINALLY starting to guess my age at around 18 (That's almost 10 years younger than my real age).. much of this is just lucky genetics (I'm finally old enough to like looking young) But I'm sure some of it is the fact that I left off the hormones..err. I mean meat...

If you eat right then you should age slower then meat eaters because meat is filled with all kinds of crap and chemicals. Plus the average meat-eater consumes %50 more protein then recommended, thus making a vegetarian healthier :)

The answer is Yes and No.
Yes if you considere the age as the wisdom or "maturity of heart". We usually said that old peope have more wisdom. So this is the reason your doc said that! ;-)
No if you talk about the age of the body. I could be the opposite as meat reduce the elasticity of the body.

I doubt it. i could think of that ingesting nicely, staying lively and holding a youthful and rigidity-unfastened outlook on life could help you to age slower and doing the different could make you age greater devoid of postpone. i do no longer see how ingesting meat or no longer ingesting meat impacts ageing, different than for the wellness subject concerns in touch in a vegetarian and non-vegetarian nutrition regimen.

No. Vegetarians age the same as anyone else.
If my doctor said nonsense like that I'd find another doctor.

Nope. Vegetarians that eat plenty of fruits and veggies consume more antioxidants and nutrients that keep their skin clear and wrinkle free, their hearts healthy, and their immune systems strong. My mother is a vegetarian and people honestly think she is my sister!

i seriously doubt that it makes them age any faster, i would think that it ages them slower. The meat, dairy products, fish, and eggs on supermarket shelves today are loaded with bacteria, antibiotics, dioxins, hormones, and a host of other toxins that can cause serious health problems in humans

no. that's not true. smokers age fast as they subject themselves to more oxidative stresses than non-smokers. the same is true for those who eat lots of meats, especially smoked/deli type meats that have lots of chemicals. fruits and vegetables keep you healthy.

My step dad has been a veg all his life and his skin is beautiful and he is in good health. I don't think your doctor was right.... and this is very relative to the individual.
