I'm a huge appetizer girl for parties - I just think they are easier and more relaxing then a lot of bigger dishes. I mix it up a lot, but I will give you some ideas, and hopefully they will help!
Hummus and pita chips
Bowls of steamed & salted edamame
Sushi rolls
Bacon wrapped scallops
Grilled or broiled spicy shrimp skewers
Bruschetta
Antipasto tray with dried salami, cheeses, artichoke hearts, roasted red peppers, roasted garlic cloves
Liver pate' (super easy to make, believe it or not!)
Roasted asparagus wrapped in prosciutto (lay cleaned asparagus on a baking sheet, toss with olive oil, s&p and some minced garlic if you like, roast at 450F for about 12-15 minutes, let cool, and then wrap small strips of proscitto around the spears)
Shrimp cocktail
Artichoke and spinach dip
Baskets of fresh, sliced italian bread and a good variety of crackers
Crudite' platter with endive leaves, blanched snow peas and asparagus, sliced colored bell peppers, etc. with a freshly made herb and garlic dip
Smoked salmon, with a side of caper/lemon/cream cheese dip
I hope that helps a bit! Happy New Year!

HI- HAPPY NEW YEAR!
My favorite website is ALLRECIPES.com because can do a ingrediant search and type in what you want or type in appetizer's and it will list them for you.
You can do shrimp, cold cuts( ham, cheese, turkey, etc.) Pillsbury rolls rolled with ham and cheese in middle, stuffed mushrooms, mini quiche, mozzarella balls cut in slices with extra virgin olive oil on it and salt and oregano. YUMMY!
stuffed breads are good, some fruit and dip! Chips and dip!
If you have a wholesale club ( BJ:S, cotsco club) they have alot of appetizer's already made and not expensive because you buy in bulk. That's what I do! They have alot of variety of things and good too!!!! You can make some and but some.
Hope this helps . HAVE FUN!!!

You could make homemade meatballs and put them into spagetti sauce in the crockpot
I didn't think these would be good, but they are amazing: cut jalapenos in half and deseed
put cream cheese in the half
wrap in bacon
bake until bacon is cooked.. sounds grossish, but is SO good.
