I heard there is and one days funding in Iraq could nearly wipe it out of Africa. Whats the truth about the whole aids conspiracy thing. Can America stop it in Africa if we REALLY wanted. And is there politics behind it (there probably is).

the pharmicutical companies can cure AIDS, if they wanted to. but there's no money in the cure. AIDS will be eraticated by education before a vaccine ever will be developed.

condom companies such as "trojan" make millions anually because of the "aids scare". they donate small ammounts to AIDS research (just for appearance). but they too have no real incentive to see that a vaccine be created.

i read somewhere that the number of (reported) HIV infections have increased in the US because of the availability of drugs that just "supress" the virus. and these supression drugs are much more affective than in the past 10 or 15 years. people on these meds are living way past the expected time span of years before.

Personally, I think there is. If you really think about it, scientists have came so far into technology and knowledge. AIDS are caused by HIV and it have been around for quite a while. I think the government does not want to publicize this because of money issues or whatever.

No cure for AIDS? Please... There are cures for so many other diseases/viruses that haven't even existed for a long time. Maybe one day they will open up their empty headed heads and help out.

Sorry if I sounded like a blunt b*tch but that's exactly what I think. Look at all these thumb downs...

No there isn't and judging by the way a virus spreads and mutates there will never be. We have never cured a virus in the entirety of human history. Being that a virus is different from a disease. The quick mutation of a virus makes it difficult to try and cure. Not to say they also believe there will be a series of treatments in the future to force HIV into a state or permanent remission, and also a vaccination to prevent it from infection. But a cure in the sense of the word is highly improbable.

AIDS(Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome) It is not a disease it is a Syndrome. AIDS is caused by HIV (Human Immuno deficiency Virus). The virus changes its RNA into DNA in the human T helper cells(Cell Mediated Immunity )-T lymphocytes.I t multiplies in that cell and destroys that cells.Once the Immune system is damaged the patient could be affected by any disease and die because of it.(Tuberculosis, chicken pox etc.,)Medicines like zidovudin can extend the life span by providing immunity.

There are a number of protocols that bring people from positive to negative. They are all simple, and not patentable. Check out William Campbell Douglass.

Who knows. All I can say is that people need to be educated against this. In Africa, it's harder because women are being raped and contracting this. It's really unfair.
