When you have a cold, do you tend to sniffle or blow your nose? Why?

The viruses that cause the cold infect your respiratory system. Its a nice warm, moist environment for them to invade. Your immune system kills respiratory infections by secreting mucus and white blood cells. White blood cells destroy viruses, bacteria, and mold. The mucus secretions coat the airways and with the white blood cells in it, it functions almost like an antibiotic ointment you by at the store. The mucus also traps dead cells and anything else that doesn't belong in your airways. Then tiny hairs transport the mucus up from your lungs, and down from your nose to get rid of the gunk.

Title of the Question sounded sketchy... heh...

Anyways...
I'm not sure exactly what qualifies as "sniffling" but I find myself blowing my nose quite often when having a cold. Anything but is irritating and pointless. Having snot stuck in the back of your throat is just about the most annoying thing I can think of...
But thats just me...
