Although it is theoretically possible to contract HIV through oral sex the chances of you doing so are quite slim. However, it is right that you should get tested, simply for your own piece of mind.

Depending on where you are you can get tested 10 days after possible exposure and have a result which is over 80% accurate. You can also get tested one month after possible exposure to the HIV virus and emerge with a result which is over 99% accurate. Technology has advanced so much over recent years that waiting the traditional 3 months prior to getting tested is simply not necessary, however, if you are in the United Kingdom don't expect to be able to walk into your local sexual health clinic and get one of these tests. Unfortunately you will probably have to pay.

Its easy to say i know, but try not to worry about it. Simply learn from you mistakes and make sure you are never put in this position again.

There are two types of herpes simplex virus: HSV-1 and HSV-2. Both virus types can cause sores around the mouth (herpes labialis) and on the genitals (genital herpes). Cold sores are caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV).
Cold sores sometimes called fever blisters, are groups of small blisters on the lip and around the mouth. The skin around the blisters is often red, swollen, and sore. The blisters may break open, leak a clear fluid, and then scab over after a few days. They usually heal in several days to 2 weeks.
The herpes simplex virus usually enters the body through a break in the skin around or inside the mouth. It is usually spread when a person touches a cold sore or touches infected fluid—such as from sharing eating utensils or razors, kissing an infected person, or touching that person's saliva. A parent who has a cold sore often spreads the infection to his or her child in this way. Cold sores can also be spread to other areas of the body.

6 to 8 weeks but keep in mind that it often takes many contact to pick up HIV. I would avoid that person from now on or practice safe sex. The odds right now are in your favor. But continued exposure may give you AIDs.
