It's because a vegetarian diet doesn't always equate to health, precious.
When I was stationed in India we would bathe the sacred cows in cous cous and on occassion I would join them in udder abandon.
Fake Trace, you out "rank" everyone here.

Well, it certainly belongs here in the Food and Drink category because vegetarianism is a way of eating. I do wish, however, that there was a natural health section there. And a nutrition section, too. "Diet and Fitness" is just filled with people looking to lose weight, for the most part.

It could also be in philosophy. I guess they figured food and drink was the most logical.
Funny you mention "cous cous" (I'm not sure how to spell it)--I've been a frequenter of this forum for almost a year and that's the first mention of it that I can recall.

I think it is in Food & Drink because it was a place to swap recipes as well as health help. I like it here.
I always start by looking in the cooking area. I've cooked since 1962 so sometimes can be helpful. I find different cooking veiws & ideas interesting.

Vegetarianism links with Food, Health, Ethics, Environment, Animals
It is hard to separate them, unless V&V questions have automated linking system with other section for others viewers to see. And I propose that is a good idea.
V&V is not only discussing the issue, but working towards the "ROOT".

Yeah, V&V should be the main section, while Food, Health, Ethics, Environment, Animals, Pets should be the sub-sections under V&V.

Because you can still follow a vegan or vegetarian diet and it can be unhealthy. Deep fried chip in partially hydrogenated vegetable oil or likewise very day is not going to be good for you.

Vegetarianism and veganism deal with food, not medicine. Not everyone is a vegger for health reasons anyway.
alright, who thumbed me down? show yourself! c'mon, I won't eat you...I don't eat meat.
Huh? I don't get you. Some veggers do it for ethical reasons...why should this be in health and nutrition?
