You've made a huge lifestyle change and are reestablishing your new identity as a non-smoker. It can be hard making any life change. Even the really, really good ones. Give yourself time and you'll feel like a million bucks. You also might have identified some emotion with smoking. Or some part of your personality. Try and work through it. This will be the best thing you ever did.

Maybe you feel that you are depriving yourself of
something good in life and you don't like yourself
for it. I quit smoking cold turkey in 1978 after smoking
about 28 years. I don't recall actual depression over
it, but I had crazy dreams where I was convinced that
I still smoked (although I never actually saw myself
doing it in my dreams)
You have done a wonderful thing for yourself so don't
listen if your mind starts saying things like "Well, just one
isn't going to hurt me." Because it is going to hurt you.
Congratulations and keep going. It really isn't that
difficult once you make the decision on your own.
Be proud.

The depression is not necessarily related to the smoking. Regardless, instead of wasting your time here with a bunch of people who will pretend they know what they are talking about, why don't you discuss this with your doctor? Professional help is the way to go when dealing with depression and quitting smoking. Good luck!
And congratulations on quitting smoking! In the long run, smoking was going to cause you more grief and depression than this. I guarantee it!

Congrats with quiting on smoking!
But i dont think thats related to your depression.
Try exercising about an hour a day and eating a variety of many healthy foods and try eating something with a lot of veggies and dont eat out more than once every 2 months unless its an emergency or special occasion.
Keep a journal to express your feelings and try to get at least 9 hours of sleep.
Feeling sad?
Eat 1 cup of raspberry sorbet with 2 vanilla wafers, half and english muffin with jam, and 1 granola bar.
WHY: CARBS (SUGAR, STARCH, AND FIBRE) HELP RELEASE SEROTONIN, THE BRAIN CHEMICAL THAT MAKES YOU FEEL HAPPY.
I just answered this question about getting enough sleep and solving depression. btw, i'm the first answerer

The nicotine in cigarettes is addictive and you've been feeding it to your body for 10 years. Your depression may be due to withdrawals and your body is re-adjusting after quitting smoking. It could last a couple of months. If your depression is bothersome or gets worse, you should tell your doctor about it. You could try supplementing with L-tyrosine. L-tyrosine is an amino acid that helps boost your mood and combats mild to moderate depression. Take about 500mg daily, best to take it at bedtime.

It will pass in time; cannabis is like any other substance - if you withdraw it suddenly after a period of regular use, you will notice a difference. Three months of use is not, IMO, long enugh to trigger a serious problem, though it does sound like cannabis probably isn't for you, so good for you for being sensible enough to quit. Too many people just press on, and wind up making themselves ill, which does nothing to help the decrim campaign..

You gave up something and are having that lost feeling. It will be ok. That is the best thing you could have done for yourself. Congratulations.
Try to find an activity that you enjoy and get your mind on something else.
Good Job!
