Eggs are unfertilized.

They are chicken periods.

Not if the egg isn't fertilized by a rooster; then it was never a chicken in the first place, just an egg. Just like if a woman has her period it is NOT an abortion, it is just her shedding her egg because she hadn't used it.

Also, some vegetarians don't eat eggs and some do. It's a pesonal choice.

When vegetarians make the choice not to eat eggs it is primarily because they disagree with the way chickens are handled and the way the eggs are "harvested" from them. Some vegetarians justify the egg industry's ways, others choose organic or free range eggs (though the label does not necessarily mean the product is cruelty-free, in fact, many would be surprised at how little better some organic or free-range farms are). Other vegetarians raise their own chickens to make sure there is no cruelty involved (though this isn't an option most take).

I just don't eat eggs, the end.

As others have pointed out, chickens' eggs are not fertilized, so they cannot be considered "aborted." The issue many vegetarians have with eggs lies in the way the hens are treated and that baby male layer chicks are killed at birth.

Chicken lay eggs whether they are fertilized or not..Only Fertilized eggs have embryos.
They are a animal "by product" this is where the lines divide the different paths taken by many types of Veggies & certainly Vegans.
Eggs are in the top 5 on food allergy lists too.

NO it's not an aborted chicken.. It was unfertilized.. just like the eggs a 13 year old virgin produces and sheds every month.. same deal...

No roosters had access to the hens.. without sperm.. there is no life... just a dead egg..

They're not fertilized, so no baby chicken actually died. It's a chicken menstruation. If the egg had been fertilized and you were actually eating chicken "abortion", you would be able to tell. The insides would be all bloody and you wouldn't want to eat it.

To repeat-egg factory chickens have no access to roosters, so the eggs are not fertilized-it is an expelled unfertilized ovum.
Some vegetarians do not eat eggs-I do but I buy only cruelty free eggs, certified from hens who are not caged and mutilated.

A hen doesn't need to die to produce an egg; therefore, we are not eating a dead animal which is what lacto-ovo vegetarians avoid. An egg is equivalent to a hen's menstrual cycle which albeit disgusting is not, in and of itself, harmful to the hen.

There is no chicken in the egg at all.
There are also some people that get their eggs from people they know that have chickens and treat them well.

Well, I am all for abortions so I don't see anything wrong with eating eggs. As long as they aren't from factory farms.
