The sinus infection may simply be part of a larger virus that affects various areas of your body and includes other symptoms. Many viruses attack multiple areas throughout the body.

I have sufferred many sinus infections and usually what comes with the infection, is a feeling like you head is going to explode. Pain and pressure behind your eyes and down the sides of your nose. Throbbing headache either behind the eyes or on temple. Associated with dizziness and difficulty in focusing.

Normally when I have an infection, my doctor will put me on a double course of antibiotics and I would also do daily sinus washouts and daily inhalation with something like Eucalyptus Oil. It would take a couple of weeks before it would fully clear up. Once it had I would then return to using Rhinocort twice daily as a preventative measure and also to help with dizziness.

I have never experienced any of the other systems you have stated, did you mention these to your doctor at the time of your visit? Is it possible that you have a chest infection as well? If you didnt ask your doc about these additional symptoms I would return to see him and discuss with him asap.

Good Luck hope you feel better soon.

No. A sinus infection usually results in terribly bad headaches. It is also usually localized to throbbing around the area above the eyes which is where your sinus cavities are located.
