I know police officers who tell me they have seen a transformation occurr when women join the ranks of a former all men profession. They tell me many come already with a mascaline bent but many beautiful women undergo a physical change in appearance.

I do not agree with generalizations, however here are a couple of thoughts:
1 Police uniforms have a masculine look to them. Even a very feminine looking woman will look more masculine in a police uniform.
2. Being in shape is a benefit to police officers. A woman that spends a lot of time exercising is going to be more muscular which will look more masculine.
3. Long hair is a bad idea in law enforcement as it can be used to gain control of a person's head. Shorter hair styles tend to look more masculine.

Some may figure go along to get along, or if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. However, I have a degree in CJ and I plan to get into the law enforcement field and I have no intentions of changing my appearance to be more masculine!! I think it is a matter of opinion or preference once in the field for the women who do change, but not for myself.

No, it isn't true.
I never underwent any change in appearance, except to build up my upper body strength.
And I actually look better than my avatar.
Only a very insecure person would feel threatened by female Police Officer.

Many prepare by working out just so they can pass the physical test, and they wear uniform that raises there status from an ordinary citizen to an armed law enforcer. They have to alter their personality just like Bruce Wayne alters his personality to become Batman.

No, it's not true. The only thing that changes their appearance is the bullet proof vest.
