Morocco is famous for its delicious tajines (stews) and couscous. There are alot of tajine varieties like chicken with apricots or chicken with olives and preserved lemons, lamb dishes...... they are all excellent! Another famous dish is bistella, it's a unique dish combining sweet & savory. It's like a pie, made traditionally with pigeon but in the US, they use chicken. Do try the Moroc mint tea and the bread. Most places have a 3-5 course prix fixe type of feast. It's fun, hopefully you will have a traditional experience: sitting on the floor with alot of pillows and belly dancers!

My favorite is tagine with lamb, potatoes and onions. A tagine is like cooking meat in a crockpot or slow cooker. It is cooked for a while so the meat is extremely tender. Most restaurants will serve their tagines with potatoes, onions and olives. If there is one that contains green beans, they are the absolute best.

I love the lamb dishes and anything cooked in the puff pastry is sure to be a hit. Most have a meal as opposed to individual dishes all you and your tablemates agree on is how many dishes you are ordering then relax and enjoy the bounty. My kids love it because they get to eat with their hands and they love the mint tea. Have Fun!
