I spent 2 weeks in the hospital trying to get rid of a blood clot in my left leg. My foot was the size of a pillow and still swollen. I still have the clot and have been release for 3 days. Can I still fly home for Christmas?

I would say no, but the best person to ask advice about this is your current health care professional attending to this matter.

You can do whatever you want, you have to decide if the trip is worth the risk of dying. I'm sure your family and friends will understand if you decide to stay home with you foot elevated while sitting on your couch with a bunch of videos. On the good side, drinking a bunch of alcohol is helpful with blood clots (unless it interferes with meds). Maybe the best thing to do is pass on the Christmas trip this year.

I think you know the answer already... flying is one of the most dangerous things you can do in your situation. Flying usually causes clots, it's recommended that you get up and walk around in order to avoid this problem. You should really talk to your doctor, but IMHO you better not fly. Sorry! It will stink to not be home for Christmas, yet this is your health we're talking about! Don't mess around! But talk to your doc.
