the doctor said I had herpes type A but she said everyone had that...and I was negative for herpes type B. Can they detect herpes through a STD blood test????

Sure can, because you form antibodies against some of them. You can detect herpes, HIV, syphyllis and chlamydia all in a blood test. The herpes type A she mentioned is the variety that causes cold sores- and yes, most of the human population have antibodies for it. Some folks are just unlucky enough to have a breakout, but you can carry it for a lifetime and never have one at all. Or you can get sick from something else and the little opportunistic begger will pop out.

"everybody has that"...huh?

Instead of getting tested, why aren't you using protection? If a guy won't wear it, he doesn't get it.
