Pizza lasagna casserole. Let them put it together!
Or do mini pizzas with a pizza bar, every one make there own.
Or a baked potato bar with lots of toppings they make there own.
Or a taco bar with lots of toppings they make there own.

For the Pizza Lasagna you'll need:
3 pks of rotini pasta cooked.
4 small pizza quick sauces your favorite
1 lb pepperoni
1/2 canadian bacon chopped or ham chopped
1/2 sausage browned & drained
1 1/2 lb. of pizza cheese or more grated.
Layer the sauce first, then pasta pepperoni/meat, some cheese, sauce & so on..make sure to top with the sauce. Bake 400 for about an hour, top with cheese return to oven to melt the cheese for a few minutes. When done let cool for approx. 20 minutes serve with bread sticks or crusty garlic bread.
You need some kinda of dip to snack while Ya'll cook.
Maybe mix marshmallow creme & cream cheese to make a fruit dip, dip bananas, strawberries, pineapple chunks, apples etc in it, it's really good! Takes about 5 min to make + cutting your fruit..
Marshmallow Fruit Dip
1 (16 ounce) jar marshmallow creme
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1. With mixer blend all above ingredients until smooth and creamy.
2. Serve with your favorite sliced fruits or pound cake.
You could make apple cider punch & hot cocoa.
What ever you make arrange it on a Christmasy Table Scape.

Small party favors not gifts will do..

I'm assuming that this is a random gift swap since that is how most holiday parties distribute gifts. Stay away from gag gifts. People may say they like them, but all these really do is collect dust in someone's attic. (Think about it, when it's their turn nobody ever elects to steal the whoopie cushion). Lottery tickets are also a terrible idea, because many people are against playing the lottery, and they may get stuck with the tickets. Boxed DVD sets are fun and you can often get good deals on them at Wal-Mart or Target, just look to see what they have on sale in the display rack. If you do this, try to stay more mainstream in your selection (Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, the Office) and stay away from shows with a "cult" following (Supernatural, Firefly, or anything anime-related). While these shows may be great, some people just won't appreciate getting them as a gift. Board games (Apples to Apples, Clue, etc.) are great too, because they can be played at the party after the gift swap. Gift baskets are good too - but assemble them yourself - you won't believe the markup supermarkets and retailers put on these baskets, and they usually contain off-brand items. Putting the basket together yourself allows you to have greater control over what goes into the basket and you'll often save some money.

Ok... where do i start lol

i suggest you make some
White Christmas
3 cups Rice Krispies (rice bubbles for you Aussies)
1 cup dessicated coconut
3/4 cup powdered milk
1/2 cup powdered sugar
60 g (2 oz) mixed candied fruit, chopped
60 g (2 oz) red and green candied cherries, chopped
1/4 cup raisins
125 g (4.5 oz) white vegetable shortening (Chopha or Crisco)
125 g (4.5 oz) white chocolate chips

Brush a 9 x 13" pan with oil. Line base and sides with paper. Combine Rice Krispies, coconut, powdered milk, powdered sugar, and all fruit in a large bowl. Chop up the shortening, place with the chocolate in the top of a double boiler over simmering water. Stir until mixture is melted and smooth. Combine chocolate and Rice Krispie mixture. Press into the prepared pan and refrigerate until set. Remove from the pan, allow to stand for 10 minutes. Cut into squares with a sharp knife.

drinks:
egg nog
hot coco
soft drinks no alcoholic wine maybe?

I dont think that there are alot of xmas games but you could make a really nice xmas card with glitter ribbon xmas pics etc... or buy some cheap photo frames and decorate them as a parents xmas pressie...
Watching xmas movies and eating pizza would be awesome tho lol

maybe you should just have a theme of red, green and white.
They are all xmas colors so that would work well!

You could buy some inviatations or make them using microsoft word. I think there is a template that helps you make them. Just search card template in the help task bar.
Or another idea you could search "christmas invitations" on google and that will bring up heaps of different invites you can use and edit to suit you.

Hope this helps and goodluck =)

wow, ok, gabbie, here goes.
holiday parties are great, and i am all about the music and decor, so
:have some fun holiday cds playing when people get there and keep them coming!!!
when people walk in the door, have a bowl of like...chocolate cherrys or other bite sized chocolate candies, and a scented candle that doesnt overpower everything else in the house. if you can get greens and holly and stuff, make a wreath!!
you can have the wreath inside, on a table laying flat, and fill the middle with candles or the candy! really cute, i do it all the time! you can make neat paper decorations, not just paper chains, you can layer different shapes and color papers and make cool looking pieces for the walls.
food: omg, i lovvvvveeee food, so yeah, cookies!!!!!
you can make two kinds and arrange them on one plate so it looks like theres tons of different kinds, and so that there are choices. people love choices. some of them could be decorated simply, and some not. create contrast!! for drinks, if you have a punch bowl, mix a citrus soda with some kind of juice that most people like, and add some slices of fruit so they float in it. pretty fruit, like oranges and whole cranberries.
For your outfit: if you want a fun look, mix a short skirt with fun tights and your fav dressy-ish shoes, and a cute, simple top. idk where you live, but you can add things that make sense for your climate. if you want a kinda formal look....which i doubt, but here anyways: a black skirt or slacks, cute heels, and a belted top are wicked cute!
for presents....do you like the people who are coming??? you could make up little gift bags, they can be small, and have chocolates and maybe lipglosses for girls, and i'm really not good with what to get boys!!!!!
good luck, hun! anymore Q's, just ask!

About the presents..
I think you should definitely get them something.
Since there are only 8-10 it is possible.
Just get a few bangles for them..
Boys, pens or something, they don't care!

About your outfit..
Something nice that you feel comfortable in.

Enjoy the party!
