Congratulations. My friend gave up smoking about a year ago (after 22 years) and she cannot believe the changes in her health, energy levels, and the condition of her skin.

Keep up the good work!

I understand where you're coming from. I've tried quitting numbers of times, and have gotten through to about 3 months every now and then, but stress and my friends just nagging me about it "when's the last time you had a cigarette?" etc. etc. etc. is just annoying, and i start up again. All I can say is hold strong, and try to disregard them. I can't tell you how because I've failed numerous times, but I'm going for round 100 right now....5 days so far. good luck to you. cheers to healthier living.

I HAVE FAITH IN YOU! I quit smoking a few months ago & really....you just have to do it for yourself, who cares what the say or think, it's your health & your body....and I believe that if you've already hit 15 days, your over the tough part & you can go on being smoke-free =) Just don't let them stress you out!!

It doesn't matter if no one believes in you, as long as YOU believe in YOU. Taking someone else's doubt and using it as an excuse for failure, is just that, an excuse. It is no harder quitting without their support that it would be with their support because it is all about what it going on in your head and with your body. This is something you are doing for you, not for them. So, ignore their lack of faith, and determine that you have faith in yourself. When you are smoke free for one year, then you can look them in the eyes and tell them to go straight to hell for their doubts, and they will have to agree.

That sucks! Tell them that it bugs you because you are trying really hard and you don't need to be reminded every 10 seconds about cigarettes.
Great Job quiting!!!! Stay strong and if for some reason you do slip up don't let it get you down, persevere!

CONGRATULATIONS.

They probably don't mean to cause any offence and have no idea how much mental anguish you're going through.

You could always tell them. It's one of the few times in your life that you can say what you like and people will make excuses for you! Let rip ....

its not personal, people dont expect people to stay stopped... if you've done 15 days then thats brilliant, and i for one congratulate you...!
the cravings should start to reduce and you should be breathing a bit easier...
if you get a glass jar and put the money you would normally spend on cigs everyday, then you will soon see the money grow.
Dont give up, you've already done the hardest part

you have now added several years to your life expectancy, good for you know it tough, hang in there ,down the road it will pay off, next time some one asks , tell them you would prefer a pat on the shoulder and a thumbs up!

CONGRATULATIONS! Ignore them. Go beyond ignoring them. Put it in the back of your mind that you had an addiction and that they are unable to understand because they have not been there. Keep telling yourself that you are inhumanly strong and believe it. You will make it.

Next time they ask tell them this: "Oh, you'll be the first to know when I have my next cigarrette, thanks for the support, I really appreciate it", and say it with a smile, like you really mean it. The sarcasm should send a hint to these people that what they are doing is rude.
