We make Turkey and Ham for that special day. Stuffing, yams, mashed potato's, cranberry, green bean casserole, rolls. All sorts of Christmas cookies, a snowman cake, dips, bread pudding made with pineapple.
We always make a grand feast for any holiday. It brings the family closer. We don't lose sight on the real reason though. We never do!

Ham! Definitely. Turkey is for Thanksgiving, so everyone gets turkey'ed out from leftovers, so ham is perfect for Christmas. I have a great beer glaze for it too, not too sweet. The sides vary from traditional to pasta alfredo to curried rice. Whatever sounds good a few days before Christmas dinner.

we do a huge Italian feast for Christmas---lasagna, sausage salad, pasta, bread, etc. It is much easier than the traditional turkey/ham dinner that takes forever to prepare and we are already sick of from Thanksgiving (which was just the month before)!

We've always been a ham family. It's just too soon after T-day for more turkey IMO.
