UTI is and infection that occurs when bacteria enter the urinary tract. Theyre not necessarily sexually transmitted, but the chance of developing a UTI increases dramatically if you are sexually active because of the transfer of bacteria during sex.
So in a way, you are causing the UTI by gential contact even when there is a condom used. A good way for it to not happen again: Have her get up and use the bathroom after intercourse. It helps wash away the bacteria that can cause a UTI.

Some women get Urinary Tract Infections after vigorous sex, its called honeymoon cystitis. Vaginal bacteria can get pushed up into the urethra, which is the small tube that leads up to the bladder. The opening for that tube is very close to the vagina. Its not you fault, its more about the way your girlfriends anatomy is. She can help by drinking plenty of fluids to wash out the baldder, and by peeing before and after sex. If the problem continues the doctor can prescribe her a antibiotic to take to prevent the problem.

Was she a virgin, is she lubricated enough? When i first started having sex with my boyfriend (he's my first and we use condoms). i got a UTI (urine infection) pretty much every other week, it was hell. It's nothing to do with you at all, it's where if it's rough down there- well it was rough if you were a virgin, not rough sex, bacteria gets into the urethra (sp?). if she was a virgin it's where her body is adjusting to sex, it can also be due to her not creating enough discharge- don't ask me how just makes it easier for bacteria to get up there.
I switched birth control pills so i had more lubrication- i was dry as hell before and now my body's used to sex i don't get them anymore.... touch wood lol. Check on the packet if the condoms are covered in spermicide, it'll say on the box if they are, if not assume they don't. It may be she gets irritated to spermicide so switch to ones which aren't... i think most Durex are ok and Mates don't either. Took me about 5 months to adjust!!
O yea get her to pee before and after sex and drink cranbury juice.

The sex can cause it... .however, I am betting that the infection is just not being killed completely. Tell her to ensure she is using her entire anti-biotic to completion.
If she gets another one, have the doctor follow it more closely, or use a stronger anti-biotic regime.

If you have too much vigorous honeymoon sex it could cause you to get an urinary tract infection.... Just take it slow but i recommend your girl to drink plenty of fluids and seek medical help if symptoms persist
.. Its not you!

No,of course not,Actually urine infection or UTI are common to us girls even without experience in sexual intercourse,it could be the food that we intake or the tissue and napkins,or it could be the place where we urinate but there are medicine to cure it.

if you are penetrating the vagina then probably not you are the cause but if you traumatize the urethra by oral sex or other ways then you may be responsible.
