They use a local (which pinches) and then clamp the cervix (which pinches more) and then it's just a very slight uncomfort when they use the cryo. You will bleed quite a bit for a few days, so be prepared (depends on how much is cryo'd or cauterized. I would relax the rest of that day and the next if you are able; other it's OK.

I had the cryo and it caused an awful cramping sensation the entire procedure after it was done the cramping went away and I was fine. This was 15 years ago I don't know if they give anything for pain while the procedure is being done now.
