Look in the Asian aisle of your bigger supermarkets.

They're sort of tucked away in random places sometimes, like you might run across them at a walmart or a kiosk in the mall, but I do know for a fact that they sell them at Wegmans, because everytime I go grocery shopping (at Wegmans), I pass them in the asian foods aisle and mourn that they don't have almond crush flavor on the shelves.

I live in a 1 grocery-store chain town where the population is 90% Hispanic. One would not typically find a wide selection of Japanese food here but I found both chocolate and strawberry flavored Pockies in the ethnic food area of H.E.B. grocery store where they had chow mein, soy sauce, and other Asian foods. My daughter loves these. You could try an Asian food market as well.

In California and Washington, I've seen them in local supermarkets like Safeway and Albertsons in the Ethnic Cuisine aisle. I think, but not quite sure, I've seen them at the local Super Wal-Mart.
