What I would like to know is what the hell difference it makes. Who the hell is sitting around contemplating about whether Santa Clause is vegan or not?? This is idiotic. Even if you are vegan and raise your kids that way, why in the world does Santa have to be? He can't leave vegan kids presents if he eats meat? People got way too much friggin time on their hands if this is even an issue at all. Jeez. And why is this guy handing out vegan pamphlets? I don't go to communes or to PETA meetings and pass out omnivore pamphlets.

We're not all fools. There's a frenzy of reporting on V&V at the moment, especially for solicitation. You'd think people would have better things to do.

"A person who pervades the domain of intellectual speculation and diffuses himself through the channels of moral activity."

That's Ambrose Bierce's definition of a Fool ("The Devil's Dictionary")

If the shoe fits . . . .

It's wrong for him to be putting his personal beliefs on these children. It's one thing to cover all areas of beliefs when it comes to being vegan, vegetarian or meat eating and it's another just to just show one viewpoint and push his political beliefs.

i just googled this guy..he seems pretty cool. i think it's great how he's handing out these vegan pamphlets. at least he's making the kids aware about their food. and if they don't care - they can just bin (or recycle, rather) the leaflets, can't they? no big deal. it's not like he's forcing them into becoming vegans/vegetarians.
i can't believe he was suspended from the school though.he's just trying to get the pupils to learn about veganism and dietary choices, nothing wrong with that.

You know, you can legally stop someone from converting a minor child to a religion other than what parents choose, but you can't keep a peta person from ruining your grocery budget. If my kids became devil worshipers, it would have less impact than their becoming vegans overnight. One can't wear his old shoes because they are leather. No belts, gloves or sports equipment with leather is acceptable. He even scrapes the buttons on his clothes to see if they might be some kind if antler.
I think I should be able to go to some free clinic and get some little yellow pills like my mom did when I first came home with a black boyfriend. Jeez! All she had to do in that case was to fry another piece of chicken in a pan of lard. What if she had to have gone out in search of extra firm tofu or tempe.
I shutter to think what pendulum swing awaits my children's generation. But wait, it could be my turn to retaliate by starting some new health trend based on the benefits of eating peta members.
