you may want to try adding some additional protein sources, such as powder or bars...protein is important in a diet to manage weight, and vegetarians (like you and me) don't get enough protein from our diets (including what you have listed)...

also, along with your diet, if possible, try working out (cardio plus weights) as this will regulate your metabolism, which means you will be able to burn more energy doing less as your metabolism increases...

Good luck.

The one telling you to add additional proteins is nuts you get plenty from the beans. What you need is more Iron you can get that from Tomatos and Beets. Also fruit as meal rather than snack is good! You can also try Alfalfa sprouts, Bean sprouts. Use the no-sugar yogurt rather than the no-fat yogurt! I know the no sugar stuff doesn't taste as good! Also as stomach filler you can try Popcorn but easy on the salt and butter! You might like may veggie fake meat recipe see ca.360.yahoo.com/ddherbals

The vegan diet is not easy for a previous meat eater but can be a healthy life style. Visit lots of vegan web sites so you can see how other handled the problems.

fruits and veggies, raw, steamed or sauteed. Used fresh spices so you don't find them tiresome
water, and lots of it
nuts and whole grains, not White flour breads
no meats, no dairy, no animal products.
supplements can be B-12 and your body needs Omega 3
and they are fish oil. ???
Juice Plus+ is a great supplement. you can check it at

good luck. If you are going vegetarian for health reason you can practice with moderation. but don't say moderation to a vegan! back up

I'd propose a 3 hours shedule, e.g. breakfast at 9 a.m., snack at 12 a.m., lunch at 3 p.m., snack at 6 p.m., dinner at 9 p.m. But the best way would be the next: breakfast at 12 a.m., lunch at 3 p.m., dinner at 6 p.m. No snacks allowed this way and eating after 6 p.m. is strictly prohibited. Following this diet, you'll remain slim and healthy all your life long!

I would suggest eating some meat. I'm a flexetarian vegan and have never felt so good.
