I have been using Lantus for about one year. It works well but I had a problem with duration. It is suppose to last for 24 hours, I found it was lasting only about 14 - 16 hours. I had to add a second injection each day. I use the lantus pen and inject every 12 hours. It works well for me.

I have been taking Lantus for over a year now and have not experienced any problems. I also take a Humalog shot before each meal. I was on an insulin pump before that and changed back to shots. I havent had any problems with the Lantus. I have had the amount adjusted over time with my dr. to help with lows in the mornings, since I take mine at bedtime.Good luck

Not trouble, exactly! But it can burn if it isn't warmed up to bod temp before injection. Remember to inject slowly too! Then it doesn't burn as much.
Lantus and other insulins need to be kept in the fridge until after they have the seal broken. After that they "may" be kept at room temps for up to 28 days. Do not freeze!! Do not get them over 90 F degrees! Do not use after 28 days no matter how much is left in the vial.
When picking up your meds from the pharmacy, always check the box the lantus or anything else is in to make sure you are getting exactly the med you were prescribed. Don't leave your place in line until you have checked each prescription in the bag.

When you first start it you will need to adjust the amount according to how you test when you wake up. You don't state what problems you are having. What type of problems?
