Brocolli, spinach and cauliflower as well as kale all are very high in minerals. Eaten in excess they can contribute to kidney stones. I have had to scale back my consumption becase of forming kidney stones every two years like clockwork. Analysis of the mineral content indicated I was eating too much of the dark green veggies.

That works out to about 5 1/2 cups of broccoli a day.. I don't think it could be bad for you, since it's rich in nutrients.

500grams? That's really nothing.
I eat more than 500 grams of stuff every day.
I just ate about 900 grams of baked yams.
If you said 4.5kg, then I'd wonder.

I'm no doctor, but green vegetables contain a lot of vitamin k. Vitamin k can thicken blood. So, if you are taking blood thinning drugs or have a tendency of to get blood clots (birth control, varicose veins, etc.) would might want to reduce the greens. Otherwise, if you don't mind the gas, eat up!
