What do you do when your doctor wants you to contact your past partner & have them get tested for Herpes to see what type she has. They said I more than likely got it from her and she is refusing to go get tested & will not talk to me. She does not realize how serious this can be or she just doesn't care.

This girl is silly. Maybe she knew before she even had sex with you that she had herpes. I so not know what you can do, but I believe you can sue her if you find out that she knew she was infected with herpes and did not disclose this to you.

In reality, the doctors can not be sure where you got the virus from. So, unless you got tested before you slept her and it was negative, then there is no true way of knowing where you got it. Cause the virus can lay dormant for years. Unfortunately, with herpes there is no law or way of making this person get tested. I went through something similar with a past bf. I was worried and upset because I wanted to know where this came from, but what it comes down to is dealing with it yourself and being honest with someone who you are with.

Don't stress! It makes outbreaks occur alot!!!

dont stress.. usually doctors will say its possible u got it from so and so but wont give a definate. this virus can lay dormant for years! honestly its not as bad as it seems. this person may be just as shocked as you are. maybe not. just be courtious to any others before contact and remember you can stansmit this even with a condom on depending on where its located and if it comes in contact with sensitive skin or eyes. it seems terrible but it isnt so bad.
