The community of believers was of one heart and mind, and no one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they had everything in common. With great power the apostles bore witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great favor was accorded them all. There was no needy person among them, for those who owned property or houses would sell them, bring the proceeds of the sale, and put them at the feet of the apostles, and they were distributed to each according to need. (Acts 4:32-35 NAB)

Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand persons were added that day. They devoted themselves to the teaching of the apostles and to the communal life, to the breaking of the bread and to the prayers. Awe came upon everyone, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles. All who believed were together and had all things in common; they would sell their property and possessions and divide them among all according to each one's need. (Acts 2:41-45 NAB)

They are giving enough answers to my last question that was asked about 10 mins before this one.

Yep, yep. See everyone thinks Communism is bad because they see the faces associated with Communism. If people weren't so freakn' evil, lazy and self-absorbed Communism would work.
Only in a perfect world.

On a small scale, yes. Communism WORKS on a small scale, though.

The problem is when one tries to make communism work on a large scale. Visit Poland, which more than ten years later is still showing the utter DESTITUTION its people suffered from. Trust me, communism on a large scale isn't pretty. I've seen it first-hand. (Socialism isn't that pretty either, but that's another question.)

So yes, it does sound like communism, because in a way, it was. But it sounds more like communal living. After all, what is the root word for communism?

I don't think you "stumped" anyone. Did it occur to you that not a lot of people are up yet? It's 4 a.m. on the west coast of the U.S., and only 7 on the east.

Edit: No, I wasn't saying that. I had just gotten up, so I wasn't very clear. The majority of Christians on this site are from the U.S., however. I've noticed there aren't very many Christians on here when I usually get on (between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. my time, which is between midnight and 8 a.m. on the west coast of the U.S.).

Sorry if I wasn't very clear. I slept in today, like I almost always do when my husband had duty the night before.

Tell that to today's Bible fundies and they'll poo their pants. If Jesus appeared today, they'd be the first to call for the immediate arrest and crucifixion of this godless liberal commie.
