I was debating going to the emergency room and then had to go get a primatine mist inhaler to substitute for now. Which i was told by my doctor not even to use. The guy just said "I'm not doing it. You dont sound too bad on the phone, have a good night" CLICK There is no way this can be allowed am I right?

Hard to believe in this age of "sue happy people" that this "doctor" would tell you anything like this over the phone. Not saying that he didn't, but for fear of him being sued in the event that you really did need one, he should have advised you to seek medical attention immediately. Its like calling the ER and asking a question, they are not going to give advise over the phone. They are going to tell you to go to a Dr or come to the ER. If something had happened to you and this Dr didn't advise you to seek medical attention, he leaves himself open for lawsuits.
Your other Dr is correct. Primatine Mist is dangerous. Has led to several deaths. Be careful with it.
BTW if you had an Rx until the end of Dec, why didn't you call the pharmacy for a refill?

A. You should not allow your inhaler to run out before you get your next one from a valid prescription. If you feel as though it is an emergency get to the emergency room.

If you have a prescription, fill it. If your breathing is good enough to seek advice on the internet, perhaps you should not use emergency services and see your regular physician ASAP. You should make sure you do not run out of your prescription medications by asking our MD for a back-up Rx.

And you expected him to see your prescription over the phone how?

Yes, it's okay for the on call doctor to decide not to help someone get high.

If you had a real need, and a prescription, you should have gone in person.

the respond is easy, they don't have been there in the 1st place. right that could be a quote by making use of Winston Churchill speaking of the Palestinians- "i do no longer agree that the canine in a manger has the in simple terms right in simple terms right to the manger even nonetheless he would have laid there for an extremely long term, i do no longer admit that in simple terms right. i do no longer admit, working example, that a super incorrect has been completed to the crimson Indians of united statesa., or the black human beings of Australia, i do no longer admit that incorrect has been completed to those human beings, by making use of the reality that a extra advantageous race, a extra advantageous grade race, a extra worthily sensible race, to place it that way, has are available in and introduced their place." So what he's saying is that simply by fact those Jewish immigrants are supposedly a extra effective race we could continuously do away with the Palestinians, and replace them with this different race? So we could continuously do away with each and every of the supposedly much less effective races to make room for the supposedly effective races? Is that what that is approximately? in case you question me, it is approximately one step down from being a form of Nazi philosophy. The removing of the Israeli government from Palestine, will resolve the conflict, very practically like the destruction of the Nazi empire solved the conflict for the Jews and others, simply by fact the Nazis have been attempting to do away with the supposedly weaker races. that isn't as plenty a conflict because it as an unlawful profession by making use of the Israeli government as granted to them by making use of Britain, and strongly aided by making use of united statesa..

Sounds like you need a new doctor. He probably wouldn't renew over the phone cuz dhe makes no money that way. He probably also told you not to use the over-the-counter inhaler for the same reason. I wouldn't go to the emergency either unless you are having an extreme attack because your insurance will not consider it an emergency and deny it.

No!!!!! Try calling your doctor directly, and if you are really having a problem with your asthma , go to the emergency room.

Wrong. Without him seeing you to know what is wrong and how bad you are, he is taking a chance which their insurance company does not want them as doctors to do (Call in a med).
It has happened to me with a UTI and my doctor whom I was talking to would not call in any med till he saw me.
Go to the ER if you get worse.

Go to the ER & get a prescription. You don't want to get in a situation where you need it urgently & don't have one. Good luck, sounds like a heartless doc.
