I use to believe this until I started reading the truth.God's word.
This tells me that people believe people instead of checking out the truth for their self, by reading the bible.

The Church has never maintained that He was,or that anyone knows. In the late third century, the question arose of chosing a date to commemorate His birth, which is reasonable enough. Practically everyone on earth was used to celebrating the winter soltice,so that was the obvious choice for the most important celebratory date in Christendom. There was nothing sneaky or decpetive about the decision or the process by which it was arrived at; the records of the council still exist. You could learn how to spell Christian by the way. Incidentally, why would it disturb a non-believer whether that was His actual d.o.b. or not? What do you care?

Probably late October/early November using chronology. Jesus died in the spring at 33 1/2 years of age which would put his birth sometime in the fall. Not that it matters. True Christians celebrate Jesus' death, not his birth. (Ecclesiastes 7:1; Luke 22:19; 1 Corinthians 11:26)

Most Christians know that the time of year is not what is important. We know that Jesus was most likely born in the spring but we celebrate the birth through tradition which years ago somehow mixed with the winter solstice.

I don't know of any educated Christians who believe that Jesus was born on Dec 25th.
In fact, we really have no idea what time of the year He was born.
I think you are asking about the time shepherds were in their fields based on what you know about the weather in the USA and not based on the weather in Israel.

Many people still believe in the Dec. 25th date because these people are too lazy to find out the truth for themselves and are too comfortable enjoying the festivities.
The Bible of course never gives a date for the birth of Jesus. This date was man-made in order to "Christianize" the heathens of Northern Europe around 300 years after the death of Jesus.
Still, many of us are good sheeple and will continue to spend the big bucks buying crap for ungrateful relatives.

It's a fact the the plants and flowers described at the time of Jesus birth indicate that he was born in June/July. The commercialization of Christmas now overpowers the facts.

Cool. You might be right, at that.
But then...well, there was a census going on.
Perhaps there were shepherds who had no choice but to travel to Bethlehem with their sheep, being too poor to hire someone to watch over them in their absence...
Perhaps they were camped outside of Bethlehem when the Miracle of the Ages happened...
I can think of a couple of reasons why there may have been shepherds in the fields at that time...
The point is, we don't KNOW, do we?
