Any smoking raises BP because the components in tobacco act as a vasoconstricter, meaning it reduces blood vessel size, thereby increasing pressure.
If you won't quit for yourself, quit for your family and friends.

Well if you are only smoking that amt. Why not stop all together? Smoking usually lowers the BP, by constricting your blood vessels. The 150-165, assuming this is systolic is too high. Normal BP is 110-120 over 70-80. Does high BP run in your family? Are u stressed? I hope this helps.

Smoking only one cigarette will increase your blood pressure because it constricts the vessels. That increases the blood pressure and causes the heart to get less blood thereby increasing your chances of a heart attack. If you are smoking just that many--why not just stop? good luck
